Graduation film directed by Quita Felix (2022). Backgrounds made from screen printed paper, characters made digitally.
As a part of my graduation project, I researched the limited animation style of this film. Together with Quita we looked for a way to animate the characters in a limited style, without losing the subtleties of the movements.
We concluded that we should limit the amount of movent by giving the character a set of 4 arm positions and 4 leg positions. By restricting the bending movements of the limbs, but keeping soft movents in the rotation of the entire limb we were able to achieve a specific animation style.
I made animation test, first analogue with paper cut-out, in the end digitally. I also animated a few shots of the films.
